Whose personal data do we process and for what purpose?

If you are a client, we collect the necessary data in order to maintain the contractual relationship and its management, that is to say, identification data (name and last name, tax identification number, mailing address, telephone numbers and e-mails) and banking information.

At MAIO Legal we process your data in order to manage the legal services for which you have hired us as well as to comply with the legal obligations to which we are bound, among which, are the tax obligations under Act 10/2010 on the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism.

In addition, and in the event that you grant your consent for such purposes, we may send you by any means, including electronic, the legal updates that may interest you.

If you are a potential client

We collect your name and last names, postal address, telephones and electronic mail.

At MAIO LEGAL, we process your data in order to provide you with our proposals for professional services that you may have previously requested.

In addition, and in the event that you have provided your consent for such purposes, we may send you by any means, including electronically, legal updates that may interest you.

If you are a supplier

We collect the data necessary in order to maintain the commercial relationship such as the identification, name of the representative, Tax Identification Number, mailing address, telephone numbers, e-mails and bank information.

At MAIO LEGAL we process your data in order to correctly manage the contractual relationship that we maintain with you as well as to comply with the legal obligations that, if the case, apply to us.

If you are an employment candidate

We collect both your personal data (name and last names, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail) as well as academic and professional information

At MAIO LEGAL, we process your data in order to manage the selection process in you are participating.

 

For how long do we keep your data?

Your data shall be kept during the effectiveness of the relationship that we maintain with you. Once said relationship has ended, we will keep your personal data blocked during the legal statutory periods and once said periods have ended your data shall be destroyed.

Nevertheless, in regard to the data of employment candidates, we hereby inform you that the data will be eliminated before one year has transpired from the presentation of your application.

 

What is legitimacy is there for the processing of your data?

If you are client

The legal basis for `processing your data is the contract for the provision of professional services that we have signed with you as well as the regulation which, if the case, applies to us.

In order send legal correspondence, our legal basis for the processing your data is the consent that you have granted us for such purposes.

 

If you are a potential client,

The legal basis for processing data is the consent with which you have provided us for such purposes.

 

If you are a supplier,

The legal basis for the processing of your data is the contract for the provision of services that we have executed with you as well as the regulations that, if the case, apply to us.

 

If you are a candidate,

The legal basis for the processing of your data is the consent with which you have provided us for such purposes.

 

To which recipients will your data be communicated?

In regard to the purposes described above, we may have to share your personal data with third-parties. These recipients may include:

Providers of external services ( for example security professionals, accountants, auditors and other professional financial advisors) system providers, providers of lodging, banks and financial institutions and other third-party suppliers and suppliers of sub-contracted services who assist us in carrying out our activities.
  2. Pubic Administrations;
  3. Counterparts and their legal advisors.

 

Who provides us with your personal data?

We obtain your personal information directly from you.

Nevertheless, in the case of the data of employment candidates we may obtain your data from employment agencies, selection companies or university grants and others study centers.

 

What are you rights when you provide us with your data?

Any person is entitled to obtain confirmation of whether MAIO LEGAL is processing personal data which concerns them. Interested parties are entitled to access their personal data as well as to request the rectification of inexact data or, if the case, request its elimination when, among other reasons, that data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Under certain circumstances, the interested parties may request limiting the processing of their data in which case, we will only keep the data for the exercise or the defense of claims.

 

Under certain circumstances and for reasons related to a particular situation the interested parties may oppose the processing of their data. MAIO LEGAL shall cease data processing except for imperative legal reasons or the exercise or the defense of possible claims.

 

Likewise, the interested parties are entitled to exercise their right to data portability, that is to say to receive the personal data in a structured, commonly-used and mechanically-readable format and to relay them to another data controller without the processor, who has facilitated them, impeding it in the cases legally provided for these purposes.

Said correspondence shall include name and last names, a petition which the request is specified, address for notification purposes, date, signature and a photocopied DNI or other valid identification document.
