Suyapa Hernando Menéndez is a lawyer specialized in Commercial Law, with experience in M&A, Corporate Governance and Capital Markets.

She began her professional career at the law firm DLA Piper Spain, where she trained in the Corporate and M&A area, participating in the legal advice on and execution of corporate and transactional operations of various kinds, with particular exposure to private equity and venture capital transactions, as well as transactions related to the energy sector. She also served as company secretary for several companies, regularly participating in their ordinary corporate advisory work. She subsequently joined Telefónica, S.A., where she was part of the Corporate Governance & Securities Market area and the M&A area. In the latter department, she participated in the closing of certain divestment processes of the holding company in LATAM and in other sale and purchase transactions of the Group. She mainly focused her practice on the corporate governance of listed companies, recurring in-house corporate advice, corporate and sustainability reporting, as well as matters related to capital markets, including the NYSE delisting process, thereby strengthening her transactional profile with a growing specialization in the regulatory and corporate environment of large business groups.
